The major of Brussels has forbidden this demonstration, for the fear of insulting certain members of the Belgian population (read: muslims). He fears that there will be riots between the demonstrants and muslims (Islam was peace, right?). There is an online petition to protest against this decision of the major.
This is already scary to hear that people are not allowed to demonstrate, just to please a small minority of the population. We have in Europe something that is called freedom of speech, which is insulted by this decision.
The organisation therfore declared that therefore it will take place anyway, but then it will be more of a remembrance of the victims of the WTC-attacks.
And now I just read, that the AEL (Arab European League) is now planning a demonstration on (yes, you guessed it right) the 11th of September in Brussels against Islamophobia and racism.
For those who don't know the AEL, this is a very scary muslim organization, who's goal it is to convert everyone in Europe to muslim, either the easy way or the hard way.
Now, the major of Brussels has a problem. If he forbids this demonstration too, then the whole muslim world will be shouting that this is racism, bla bla bla..... If he doesn't forbid this, then it will be war. Why forbid one demonstration, and allow the other?
Meanwhile, it is so clearly a provocation of the AEL towards the western world. Why isn't this organization not on the European black list? It sure as hell is on the one from USA.
Anyway, I don't know what scares me most: The major allowing the demonstration of the AEL, or a confrontation between the 2 groups?
Either way, I fear that the WTC won't be the only thing we will remember on 9/11 in the future.
